Herndon IP Consulting, LLC was founded in September 2006 by Drew R. Herndon to provide consulting services in the area of intellectual property management, law firm management, docket systems and management, personnel management and recruiting, file storage and management, document management systems and practice, and financial tools, directed toward all types of law firms (primarily those dealing with intellectual property prosecution) as well as in-house corporate intellectual property departments and legal departments.

As founder and principal consultant for Herndon IP Consulting, LLC, Drew has over 17 years experience in the field of intellectual property law, beginning with patent secretary and paralegal work, and advancing to positions as patent administrator (for both a large law firm, and for a very large corporation), and ultimately serving as Executive Director of a mid-size intellectual property law firm in the heart of the Silicon Valley in California, where he was responsible for all aspects of the firm’s daily operation and business. Most recently Drew has been involved in product development, testing, marketing, and sales for a Swedish software company providing state-of-the-art legal docketing and case management software to law firms and corporations. His work involves extensive travel throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe, and includes participation at conferences and trade shows, client development and assistance, product development and support. Drew’s personal interests include photography, writing and scuba diving, and he enjoys reading on a broad range of subjects including philosophy, politics, and technology.
